Vitrase

Vitrase is a FDA approved product used to dissolve hyaluronic acid products such as Juvederm and Restylane. It is administered by injection. It is injected into the same area of the tissue as the previously injected hyaluronic acid product. This enzyme is used to break down and reverse these products and works fairly quickly, usually within 24 hours. Multiple applications might be needed.

One of the most amazing qualities of Hyaluronic Acid fillers is the beautiful volume it provides, but another very important benefit is that it is not permanent. Why is that important? Imagine you received a permanent filler in your face and did not like the results? For those fillers such as Bellafil and Sculptra, the only removal solution is a surgical procedure.

With Vitrase the provider can dissolve the excess. At Rejuvent, Drs. Bomer and Bouzoukis see a lot of other patients that received treatment elsewhere and are unhappy with the results. In those cases, the patient conveys their concerns to the doctors and they inject the area with Vitrase. This enzyme quickly dissolves the filler and the patient can either receive the correct placement or choose not to.
